DeMar DeRozan really loves basketball.
So much so, he’s taking part in Nike’s Drew league during the offseason. Not only does this have nothing to do with his $145 million contract he signed last summer, but his passion for the game led to him almost popping off.
With seconds on the clock winding down, Toronto Raptors guard DeMar DeRozan threw the ball at an official. His team was losing and he caught a technical foul for getting in the referee’s face. Then seconds later after bricking a shot, he chucked a ball from the free throw line at the referee, who ducked just in time. Around the 11:50 mark in the clip below you can hear DeRozan yelling, “You suck!” at the official, too.
Nick Young —who just signed a deal with the Golden State Warriors — restrained his fellow former USC Trojan, who still seemed pretty upset when he left the court.
Despite playing dodgeball towards the end of the faceoff DeRozan was able to put up some serious numbers on the board by dropping 41 points.
