Divisional Round - Green Bay Packers v Dallas Cowboys

Just days removed from getting cleared of an incident at a Texas bar, Dallas Cowboy Ezekiel Elliott has been cleared of any wrong doing against his ex-girlfriend.

The NFL had been investigating Elliott after his ex, Tiffany Thompson, accused him of domestic violence in 2016.  Thompson alleged that Elliott assaulted her in a car. The running back has preached his innocence the entire time and authorities in Columbus, Ohio, where the incident supposedly took place, declined to press charges.

Now, Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys head honcho has also ended the team’s investigation too.

“I have reviewed everything, and there is absolutely nothing — not one thing — that had anything to do with domestic violence,” Jones said, as the Cowboys reported for training camp.

“My opinion is there’s not even an issue over he-said, she-said,” Jones added. “There’s not even an issue there.”

The 22-year-old baller could still face penalties under the league’s personal conduct policy. While Zeke may have avoided any major consequences this time around, his off-the-field antics may be his biggest hurdle in his promising career.
