Known for shaking things up a bit alongside his brother Martellus, Seattle Seahawk Michael Bennett is gearing up to release his first book, Things That Make White People Uncomfortable at the top of next year.

He announced the quite unapologetic title at a recent Seahawks press conference, and says that it’s all meant to spark conversation and to get people to start reading again.

“This is my story. My journey. My thoughts on sports. My thoughts on issues in America. My thoughts on women’s equality,” Bennett added.

Instead of writing about all the things he’s gone through as a player on the come up, Bennett wants to try something different, something bigger and much more important than the turf. Unlike most athletes who want to write about their journeys, he wants to write about his “reflection of America and its past.”

Michael and his brother Martellus are known for being outspoken individuals in a sport that focuses so heavily on a team. Off the field, Martellus also has his own side projects, like his Imagination Agency and his Julian Edelman-approved “I’m Not A Rapper But Some Of My Friends Are…” mixtape.

We’ll leave you with one of our favorite Brothers Bennett moments below…
