Episode 6 finds the gang is super excited…especially Beanz. The NBA season has officially started and the New York Yankees are one win away from the World Series to face the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The NBA’s 2017-18 season is officially underway, and it’s full of intrigue and exciting storylines thanks to huge offseason trades and free agent acquisitions. Bruce, Beanz and J reflect on the first two games of the season, Kyrie Irving’s return to Cleveland in a Boston Celtics uniform and the new look of the Houston Rockets vs. The Golden State Warriors. The excitement was dampened a bit by a huge injury to Celtics star Gordon Hayward, who suffered a devastating injury (shutters thinking about it) in the first quarter.
The gang also gives their predictions and of course, drop the hottest of takes of how the NBA will play out this season and if the Warriors will be dethroned. Beanz also takes time to explain why he hates the New York Knicks and respects Reggie Miller much to the dismay of his co-hosts. Not to be lost in the NBA’s sauce, those Damn Yankees just refuse to lose. Our podcast was recorded before the Yankees won a pivotal game five against the Astros giving them a 3-2 lead in the ALCS.
Of course, we still have to talk about the NFL, more big injuries, Colin Kaepernick and whether the protest has lost its flair since Trump hijacked it.
