US Weekly reports that the superstar MVP dated reality star MVP, The Bachelorette‘s Rachel Lindsay, when the two were co-eds back at the University of Texas in Austin. According to an inside source, the two were very serious at the time, and they broke up because the first Black Bachelorette had some serious goals of her own. “They broke up when she went to law school,” the source explained.
So were the two really a real life Love and Basketball at the University of Texas? Definitely seems that way. On this week’s episode of The Bachelorette, which featured none other than NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, the country’s most sought-after single shared that she played competitively for years.
We know that Rachel has found love on the show, and confirmed that she’s engaged since production wrapped. Still, we can’t help but hope KD will pull up in a limo as a “man from her past still in love” for some extra drama.
