Three Months Later, Black Panther Is Still Out Here Flourishing.

This just in: Black Panther and Stranger Things are leading the MTV Movie & TV Awards nominations this year. Nominations were announced by the network on Thursday, and according to Variety, Black Panther is on top with seven nominations. Stranger Things comes in close second with six nominations—including Best Show and Best On-Screen Team—while Millie Bobby Brown nabs a nomination for best performance. We see you, Eleven.

Power returns for its fifth season on July 1. To get us ready, creator Courtney Kemp is letting fans in on some inside info.

“This season of Power is defined by grief, revenge, family, and faith,” she tells Deadline. “As a writers room, we really looked at each character through the idea of ‘legend vs. legacy,’ examining the difference between the stories we tell about ourselves and the stories we leave behind. As loyalties shift and relationships are redefined, we hope the audience discovers a darker, more intimate, more intense season than any before.”

The beloved Netflix series returns to the streaming site on May 30, and fans should really savor it because this will reportedly be the last season. According to Deadline, the series is plotting a movie series finale to bring an end to the show. Tina Fey and Robert Carlock are in talks to write the film. There’s been no official statement from Netflix as of yet.
