Houston music legends OG Ron C & The Chopstars were busy remixing JAY-Z’s latest album, 4:44 over the holiday break.
Known for their signature “chopped and screwed” sound, OG Ron C & the Chopstars, made up of DJ Candlestick and DJ Slim K, wasted no time putting their spin on the album, which has just gone platinum.
The tracklist for the chopped version doesn’t follow the original order of 4:44. Instead, Ron C chose to start the project with “The Story of OJ” instead of “Kill JAY-Z,” and it even features a couple of bonus tracks.
The remixed effort is available on ChopNotSlop.com. The site has actually crashed due to a high volume of traffic, but let’s hope it’s back up and running soon.
