Maybe you’ve heard the saying, “karma is a bitch.” We don’t know if that’s fair, but we do know one woman who might agree. Micha Leigh Dominguez just got a hard lesson in “what comes around, goes around.”

The 40-year-old woman from Tappahannock, Va. has been known in the neighboring city of Richmond as a hyper-aggressive panhandler on one of the city’s main intersections. Dominguez has even been spotted banging on car windows asking for money, appearing to be desperate and down on her luck. All of that changed when someone saw the woman begging and followed her back to her 2016 Fiat, which was parked in a nearby McDonald’s parking lot. The person proceeded to film her while peppering her with questions about lying about being homeless.

That video went viral and, before long, residents knew Dominguez’s jig was up. People started driving past her normal hangout spots, recording and harassing her. Police officials were called to one intersection where Dominguez was reportedly filmed while throwing three bottles of Gatorade at a driver.

A word to the wise: Think carefully before you try to get over your fellow humans.

The plot thickened when authorities arrested the scammer, charging her with three felony counts of “throwing a missile at a moving vehicle in violation of Virginia Statute 18.2-154 (Felony).” She is potentially facing between six and 30 years in prison and over $300,000 in fines for throwing the sugary beverages.

A word to the wise: Think carefully before you try to get over your fellow humans. Before you know it, karma will show up as a bottle of Gatorade and literally smack you in the face.
