Once again, Nike is using its influential voice to make a statement in both the fashion and sports worlds with its ongoing EQUALITY collection. While this year’s release only includes a few pieces, it still packs a bold message through a streamlined selection of footwear, apparel and accessories in black and white with gold accents.
The Air Jordan I High EQUALITY (shown above) was inspired by NBA All-Star Carmelo Anthony’s endless fight against social injustice and immense love for his hometown of Baltimore, Md. Beyond his superstar athlete status, Anthony has put in major work as a philanthropist, establishing his namesake Carmelo Anthony Foundation, which gives back to those in need throughout B-More and Syracuse, N.Y.
