It’s the silhouette that just won’t go away. From Balenciaga to Reebok, countless iterations of the dad shoe—heavy-duty kicks with a thick, supportive sole and bulky silhouette—have hit the market. And they get their name, well, cause dads supposedly favor function over fashion.

Puma’s latest drop, the Thunder Spectra is a multicolored mashup of its classic ’90s running silhouettes and the label’s 2014 McQueen collab. The bulky kicks feature bold proportions, mixed materials and loud color blocking in primary hues. A funkier take on the chunky shoe trend, a TPU system, PUMA formstripe and branding are featured throughout.

The colorful sneaks hit select lifestyle retailers and PUMA.com on April 28 and will retail for $120. Succeeding drops and colorways will be available throughout 2018. Will you cop or nah?
