Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy was accused of viciously beating his girlfriend in an Instagram post uploaded on Tuesday (July 10).
The post from Instagram user @miamor_i_adore features before and after pictures of Delicia Cordon, where she is visibly beaten and bloody. The caption accuses McCoy of using steroids and beating her, his son, and his dog. The post claims that the altercation occurred Tuesday morning.
The user also tagged the NFL, Buffalo Bills, and TMZ. According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, the Bills are reportedly looking into the matter. This isn’t the first time that McCoy has gotten into legal trouble—he was sued by a woman in 2013 who said he assaulted her by kicking her off a party bus in New Jersey. McCoy’s lawyer said at the time that no criminal charges were pending and probable cause was never found.
The running back posted on Twitter and Instagram around noon that the claims are false.
McCoy will turn 30 later this week and has been in the NFL for 9 years after a solid career at the University of Pittsburgh. He was originally drafted to the Philadelphia Eagles and began to establish himself as one of the best running backs in the league. He blossomed and has been a pro-bowler six times, including the last five years. In March of 2015, the Eagles traded him to the Buffalo Bulls and subsequently signed him to a new five-year contract worth $40 million. He brother LeRon is also a football player and has previously played for the Arizona Cardinals.
