HBO Releases ‘Game of Thrones’ Teaser

The end is near—HBO announced on Tuesday that the eighth and final season of “Game of Thrones” will debut in April 2019. The network has yet to release a trailer with any new footage and the imagery is being kept private as well.

To announce the premiere, the network recycled shots from past seasons with a voiceover from Cersei Lannister saying, “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die.” The text on the screen says: “Every battle. Every betrayal. Every risk. Every fight. Every sacrifice. Every death. All #ForTheThrone.”

‘Rhythm + Flow’ Comes to Netflix

Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. will be the judges in Netflix’s first music competition set to premiere in 2019.

“Rhythm + Flow” follows the search for the next breakout hip-hop star. It is produced by John Legend, Jeff Gaspin, Jesse Collins, Nikki Boella, Jeff Pollack, Mike Jackson, and Ty Stiklorious. The multi-city competition will unfold over 10 hour-long episodes in fall 2019 with auditions beginning this fall in Atlanta, Chicago, and New York.

‘Young Thug As Paintings’ To Make an Appearance at Art Basel

The Atlanta rapper is going to make an appearance presenting work inspired by his image at Miami’s Art Basel. The six-day exhibit called “Young Thug as Paintings” is inspired by the popular Instagram account by the same name. The event is in collaboration with Hajar Benjida, a Netherlands-based photographer who created a series of composites in which Young Thug’s photos are set against classical artwork.

“Young Thug is one of the most profound artists of this generation and we’re going to continue to celebrate him in the most innovative ways. Hajar Benjida’s display of Thug’s influence through art disruption is incredible,” said Rayna Bass, 300 Entertainment’s head of cultural marketing.
