As always, the BET Awards proved to be a night to remember for both the viewers and the attendees. Childish Gambino went home with the award for Video of the Year for “This Is America,” while Beyoncé, of course, took home Best Female R&B/Pop Artist.

Nipsey Hussle’s Death Is Still Unifying the Crips and the Bloods.
As the hip-hop community continues to mourn the loss of Nipsey Hussle, the Crips and the Bloods recently began talks of a tentative cease-fire, the Los Angeles Times Reports.
“It’s a troubled past. A lot occurred, and we can’t heal that fast,” Lamar “Crocodile” Robinson, a Swamp Crip, told the LA Times. “But it’s important for us to take the initiative and school the youngsters on what’s at stake and what they can gain.”
The LA Times adds, “The cease-fire talks in Compton were part of an audacious effort by Los Angeles-area gang leaders to curtail violence in their own ranks after the killing of rapper, activist and entrepreneur Nipsey Hussle, whose influence extended beyond hip-hop culture to the realms of business and politics.”

Kid Cudi and Big Boi Are Starring in a Creepshow Remake.
Shudder network is remaking the Creepshow anthology, and Kid Cudi and Big Boi have been tapped for the cast.
“This will be a remake of the 1980s series of anthologies written by Stephen King and directed by George A. Romero,” XXL explains. “For the updated version, Greg Nicotero (The Walking Dead) will serve as the series showrunner and also direct an episode, as will renowned make-up specialist and director Tom Savini, who played in the original.”
You can catch Cudi in an episode titled “Bad Wolf Down” with Jeffery Combs and Big Boi in “The Man in the Suitcase.”
