According to a statement posted to her website, Beyoncé has created a “Formation Scholars” program with an aim “to encourage and support young women who are unafraid to think outside the box” during the 2017-2018 academic year. Four scholarships will be awarded (one per college) to current and graduate students at Berklee College of Music, Howard University, Parsons School of Design and Spelman College who are studying creative arts, music, literature, or African-American studies. “Beyoncé is a Queen, who not only inspires Queens, but pours and speaks life into young Queens and now she’s showing us how to invest in our Queens,” Denee “Dnay B” Baptiste—who’s been rocking with Bey for four years as one of her professional dancers—told Cassius. “This is why we can’t get enough of her. . .Thank you, Beyoncé, for being apart of the change we wish to see in our community.” We lowkey wish we were still in school so we were eligible for this.

According to The Associated Press, the Treasury Department announced in a statement on Monday that the U.S. has issued 271 sanctions against employees of Syria’s Scientific Studies and Research Center—the Syrian government agency which produces non-conventional weapons. “The new sanctions are the latest U.S. response to Assad’s alleged use of chemical weapons,” says the news outlet, “most recently in rebel-held northern Idlib, in an attack that killed more than 80 civilians.”

Chocolate with milk?” in Romanian in response to talks of Williams and her pregnancy with fiancé Alexis Ohanian, and well, y’all already know she wasn’t even about to have that. “It disappoints me to know we live in a society where people like Ilie Nastase can make such racist comments towards myself and unborn child, and sexist comments against my peers,” she said in a statement posted to Instagram.
