Set to the Fugees’ hit “Ready or Not,” the latest trailer for the new season of Marvel’s Luke Cage centers its Black women.

“You don’t need to be bulletproof to be a superhero,” Mariah Dillard says to whom we assume to be Tilda Johnson (aka Nightshade). “Black women have always had superpowers, turning pain into progress.”

Luke Cage returns to Netflix on June 22. Get into the trailer below.

Finally! Now We Can Add the Get Out Soundtrack to Our Vinyl Collections.

Wax copies of the acclaimed film’s soundtrack will be coming via Waxwork as a deluxe 2xLP set. It’ll feature music composed by Michael Abels and artwork by Leslie Herman… and as Okayplayer notes, yes, “The Sunken Place” will be included.

Cop it on June 15.

The Founder of #FyreFest Was Recently Hit with Two New Criminal Charges.

Billy McFarland (almost forgot about him, right?) was charged Tuesday for wire fraud and money laundering in the 2017’s Fyre Festival fail.

“The additional charges against McFarland came while he was awaiting sentencing for charges associated with the festival, which he pleaded guilty to in March after initially pleading not guilty, and for which he faces eight to 10 years in jail,” Mic.com’s Jake Horowitz reports. “The sentencing hearing was scheduled for later in June.”

A St. Louis Jury Has Ordered the Rams to Pay Reggie Bush for That 2015 Injury.

They’ll have to pay him $12.5 million, to be exact. The ruling comes as closure to the severe knee injury Bush suffered in 2015 during the team’s final season before moving to Los Angeles.

“Reggie lost his ability to do what he loved, and to bargain for a contract that he worked his entire life for,” Tim Cronin, Bush’s lawyer, said during closing statements. “These players get chewed up. They only have so many chances.”

Lil Kim Was Honored Alongside Dapper Dan and Angela Simmons with the Proclamation to NYC.

Clap for Lil Kim, who was just honored by the New York City Council’s Black, Latino, and Asian Caucus (BLAC) as part of African-American Music Appreciation Month, which began in June.

“Today we are celebrating the 2018 power influencers, the African-American history month of music,” Councilman Andy King said during Tuesday’s ceremony. “All of you have done great work in the industry. We are so proud to host you this year.”

Kim also received the New York City 12th Council District Arts and Music Award and the city’s Power of Influence Award.

“I’m just gonna say this: Use us,” Lil Kim said as she accepted the proclamation. “Use us in the industry. We have a voice, and we wanna represent our town, our city. I wanna say thank you to… Mayor Bill de Blasio and everyone on the Council for coming and making this happen because it’s nice to be recognized and it’s nice when people—they recognize your worth, your talent.”
