Meek Mill Was the Good Luck Charm At Last Night’s 76ers Game.
“I was just excited that he got to witness this because he’s always represented the city, and he loved this city so much,” Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid told ESPN after the team’s playoff series win.
Meek, who had just been released from prison hours prior, rang the ceremonial Liberty Bell before tipoff of Game 5 amid cheers from the crowd. They’d later secure a 104-91 win over the Miami Heat, sparking a happy “hysteria” from all in attendance. “The city’s so excited to have him. The team’s so excited,” 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin shared.

Sources Say Kanye’s on a Downward Spiral.
While most may write off Kanye West’s latest antics as another on-brand publicity stunt, others are saying he “seems to be on the edge” and “is very hard to deal with right now.” In fact, according to PEOPLE, some feel he’s in a form they’ve never seen him in before.
“He’s all over the place. Excited. Loud,” a friend of Yeezy’s tells PEOPLE. “He’s sleeping very little, texting at all hours of the day or night. Coming up with ideas, sending them to people and instructing everyone to drop everything and collaborate. He truly feels like it’s the most exciting stuff in the world.”

“Why not?” she asked upon hearing the news from a TIME reporter. “Why didn’t she come? Give me—oh wait—she is pregnant. She is pregnant. I’ll give her that, but that’s it. Next time, she better be here. She better turn up.”

TV One Just Announced the Fourth Annual American Black Film Festival Screenplay Finalists.
Congratulations to Fedna Jacquet (writer of “Isaiah”), Rashim Cannad (writer of “Connected”), and Sylvester K. Folks (writer of “The Patrolman”). All three were announced as finalists for TV One’s 2018 American Black Film Festival (ABFF) TV One Screenplay Competition and will receive an all-expense paid trip to this year’s ABFF in Miami from June 13-17.
