Tuskegee Airman Floyd Carter Sr., 95, Dies

According to the New York Police Department, Tuskegee Airman Floyd Carter Sr., who was awarded a Congressional Gold Medal in 2006 by President Bush, has died at the age of 95. Aside from his work with the legendary Airmen, Carter also spent 27 years working with the NYPD, where he guarded visiting heads of state, including Cuba’s Fidel Castro and Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev. Carter was a Virginia native whose wife Artherine was just as impactful as part of an all-female repair crew.

Wale Drops Surprise It’s Complicated EP

Since the start of the year, Wale has been enjoying his departure from Atlantic Records by dropping loosie after loosie. Now, the newly independent rapper has surprised his rabid fan base with a new EP titled It’s Complicated, which features a multicolored heart on the cover. The four-track project includes the title track, “Black Bonnie,” “Effortless,” and “Let It Go.” R&B crooner Jacquees is the lone feature on the offering, as Wale continues to get his bars off. With the recent change in his contractual obligations, Wale also tweeted that he’s trying to figure out what’s next. We still don’t know whether that has to do with an upcoming album or what label he’ll ink a deal with, but hopefully, a full-length project is on the way.

Ankle Injury or Not, Steph Curry Is Still Celebrating His Birthday

If you aren’t a Steph Curry fan, you probably are about to be. En route to what will likely be the team’s fourth straight finals appearance, Curry is soaking up all the praise. And despite being on the bench with another pesky ankle injury, he’s still enjoying his 30th birthday. Curry was spotted celebrating early—his born day is tomorrow—as he sat on the edge of the stage while Bay Area legend E-40 performed “U And Dat.” Not only was he brave enough to eat ribs while wearing a white shirt, but he also pulled up to the party on a yacht. It’s safe to say he’s living his best life. And so is his teammate Klay Thompson, whose dancing skills can be laughed at here.
