During a Wednesday news conference, The Department of Homeland Security announced the opening of an office for victims of crimes committed by undocumented immigrants, though a quick search in Google will show you studies have proven native-born citizens are more likely to commit crimes than immigrants are (but hey, who’s really looking at facts these days?). Victims of Immigrant Crime Engagement—aka VOICE—will live within Immigration and Customs Enforcement (where they handle deportations). “All crime is terrible, but these victims are unique — and too often ignored,” John F. Kelly, Secretary of Homeland Security said. “These are casualties of crimes that should never have taken place because the people who victimized them oftentimes should not have been in the country in the first place.” Oh.
In other news, Trump’s new tax plan promises to shave tax rates, but *surprise!* the only ones truly benefiting are rich folks.

Fox News host Jesse Watters is reportedly taking a vacation after catching heat for his salacious comments regarding the dragging of Ivanka Trump during the W20 summit in Berlin. “It’s funny, the left says they really respect women, and then when given an opportunity to respect a woman like that, they boo and hiss,” he said while watching footage. Smiling, he added: “So I don’t really get what’s going on here, but I really liked how she was speaking into that microphone.” Gross. But Watters denied any lewd intent, later tweeting, “On air I was referring to Ivanka’s voice and how it resonates like a smooth jazz radio DJ.” Smooth. Jazz. Radio. DJ.

Sidney Keys III, an 11-year-old from St. Louis who’s out here changing the game, started a book club after noticing there were no books about Black culture at his school. The book club, called Books n Bros, brings kids between the ages of 8 and 12 together to read stories that matter to them. “I started it so we could read about African-American literature and raise awareness of that,” Keys said. A “pop-up” meeting occurs on the first Sunday of each month. Next month’s will take place near Ferguson, Missouri for the Ferguson Youth initiative. Gon’head, Black youth.
