Hip-Hop Says Goodbye to Pam Warren
Just days after the passing of Combat Jack, hip-hop is saying goodbye to Pam Warren aka Pam the Funktress, who reportedly passed away on Friday (December 22) at 51. According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Warren suffered organ failure after being hospitalized for a month after organ transplant surgery. A member of Oakland hip-hop duo The Coup, she was also Prince’s personal DJ for several months before he died in 2016. He nicknamed her “Purple Pam.” May she rest in peace.
