Big News

Beyonce baby update:

According to the birth documents obtained by TMZ (seriously – how, though?), the twins were born on June 13 at 5:13 a.m. Rumi was born first, making Sir, her brother (yup, Sir is a boy, though we were kind of hoping this would be the other way around), the younger sibling. The twins were delivered by none other than Dr. Paul Crane, who’s also delivered the babies of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian and Rob and Blac Chyna.

Big Facts

Officer Matthew Harrity says a “loud sound” in the alleyway he and Officer Mohamed Noor were waiting in had “startled” him moments before Noor fatally shot Justine Damond from their vehicle’s passenger seat. But questions remain, according to the Minneapolis StarTribune, even as new information provided by the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension rolls in. For instance, Noor’s body camera was off despite the Minneapolis Police Department’s policy, and he has yet to make a statement. “We do have more information, though it’s frustrating to have some of the picture but not all of it,” Mayor Betsy Hodges said during a news conference on Tuesday night. “We cannot compel Officer Noor to make a statement; I wish we could—I wish that he would make a statement.”

Big Lies

Did Trump and Putin have a second secret meeting during the G20 summit? That’s what some folks seem to think, though the White House denies claims, calling the “insinuation” of a second meeting “false, malicious and absurd.” Still, it’s a bit disturbing to know there was an undisclosed conversation between these two—and with no government record of it? As far as we know from reports, the two were alone, and the only other person present was one of Putin’s Russian translators.

“Pretty much everyone at the dinner thought this was really weird, that here is the president of the United States, who clearly wants to display that he has a better relationship personally with President Putin than any of us, or simply doesn’t care,” Ian Bremmer, president of the Eurasia Group, told The New York Times. “They were flummoxed, they were confused and they were startled.” Trump’s (Twitter) response: “Even a dinner arranged for top 20 leaders in Germany is made to look sinister!”
