‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ in Talks of Doing #MeToo Episode

After being canceled by Fox only to be picked up by NBC, the cast and crew of Brooklyn Nine-Nine do not plan on playing it safe for the next season.

With star Terry Crews spending his summer speaking out about being a victim of sexual assault, he plans on continuing to confront it head-on. Showrunner Dan Goor said he and his writing staff are talking about doing a #MeToo episode as the comedy will continue to take on timely topics.

“They’re hard to do,” he said. “[They] still have to feel true to what the story is and still feel funny — but still give weight to the issue and explore it in a fair way.”

Max Joseph is Leaving ‘Catfish’

It’s officially the end of an era — the pessimistic Catfish co-host we’ve grown to love is leaving the show.

Max Joseph admitted he’s been juggling doing Catfish and being a filmmaker for a while now and he’s decided he “can no longer sustain it.” His friend and co-host Nev Schulman said on Twitter that working with him has been a blast, describing the brotherhood they’ve formed.

“Over the last six years I’ve learned as much about the internet and society as I have about myself, Max being there and helping me every step of the way,” he wrote. “His ability to listen, empathize and advise has made me a better man.”

His final episode is set to air on August 22.
