Bushwick Bill Has Passed Away.

While it was initially unclear whether or not reports were true (Bushwick Bill was reported dead on Sunday, only for both Bill’s publicist and his daughter to state he was still “fighting for his life” shortly after), TMZ has confirmed through his rep that he passed away on Sunday at 9:35 p.m. The Geto Boys group member was 52 years old and had been battling pancreatic cancer.

Bushwick Bill was supposed to perform during a Geto Boys reunion that ultimately fell through.

“Bill had a falling out with tour organizers … feeling like they were exploiting his cancer diagnosis to sell tickets,” TMZ reports. “He was especially bent out of shape with the mini-tour’s title, ‘The Beginning of a Long Goodbye: The Final Farewell.’ Promoters pulled the plug on the tour on the eve of its launch. However, Bill told us he wanted to do a 20-city solo tour called ‘Phuck Cancer’ … and planned to donate a portion of proceeds to pancreatic cancer patients in each city.”

STDs Are Spreading, and Quickly.

We hope y’all have been wrapping it up, because over 1 million STDs are contracted every day, according to the World Health Organization. In fact, one in every 25 people globally has at least one of the STDs (chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomoniasis and syphilis).

“These infections indicate people are taking risks with their health, with their sexuality and with their reproductive health,” Dr. Melanie Taylor, the lead author of the report, told CNN.

Be safe out there.
