What do legendary entertaintainer Cher and hip-hop hitmaker Future have in common? Next to nothing. But that’s exactly why the Gap tapped the pair for the new iteration of the brand’s “Meet Me in the Gap” campaign, which originally launched this past July.

The ads are all about pairing people together from completely different walks of life to reveal they actually have more in common than what divides them. Check out the ad below.

“I love the idea of ‘Meet Me in the Gap’ because it’s easy to have common ground if you are really open and curious to people from different cultures,” said Cher. “I didn’t know who Future was before this, but I knew it would be fun to work with someone who is completely unlike me, and who is young, really talented and striving.”

As part of the ongoing series, the stars joined  forces on an upbeat rendition of the classic “Everyday People” by Sly and the Family Stone.  This is just one of various “meet ups” to be featured by the brand, highlighting a diverse group of influencers in an effort to create innovative works of art through various forms of movement and sound.

Officially launching across various  mediums beginning September 18th, the campaign will also will also be featured on a namesake “Meet me in the Gap” channel on Spotify with a mashup playlist.
