1600 Men Stand Behind Anita Hill & Christine Blasey Ford.

In 1991, 1600 Black women ran a full-page ad in support of Anita Hill, who had accused then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas of sexual harassment. 27 years later, 1600 men printed their names in a full-age ad that ran in The New York Times, showing their support for Christine Blasey Ford in the wake of the sexual misconduct accusations made against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

“As men who are allies in the fight to end violence and harassment against women and girls, we write to express our strong support of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford for her willingness to speak out publicly and testify before the Senate about the sexual assault that she says was perpetrated against her by Judge Brett M. Kavanaugh,” their statement reads.

According to AdWeek, the 1,600 names were pulled from a list of 4,200 people who signed an online petition. Over $100,000 was raised to fund the ad.
