dream hampton Shares Details About Creating Surviving R. Kelly.

Surviving R. Kelly executive producer dream hampton says she faced challenges when trying to get friends and collaborators with whom she’d worked over the years to participate in the series.

“John Legend was the only one [who participated]”, hampton told Shadow and Act. “I asked Jay-Z, I asked Mary J. Blige, I asked Lil Kim, Erykah Badu, Dave Chappelle… I mean, most people just don’t want to touch it. I remember Ahmir [‘Questlove’ Thompson] was like, ‘I would do anything for you but I can’t do this.’ It’s not because they support him, it’s because it’s so messy and muddy. It’s that turning away that has allowed this to go on.”

Surviving R. Kelly premiered Thursday night on Lifetime, and can be watched here.

DeRozan’s First Triple-Double Is a Reason to Celebrate.

Clap for’em!

During Thursday night’s game against the Raptors, Spurs shooting guard DeMar DeRozan landed his first career triple-double (21 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists), leading to the San Antonio team’s 125-107 win.

“Sometimes I look up [at the scoreboard], and I think after the first quarter, I looked up and said, ‘Damn, I’ve got five rebounds.’ Next thing you know, I’ve got seven assists. Then, I’ve got nine,” DeRozan told ESPN. “Somebody told me, ‘Let’s run the screen-and-roll with L.A. [LaMarcus Aldridge] and get your triple-double.’ I said, ‘Damn, all right. Run the screen-and-roll.’ He knocked it down for me.”

According to ESPN, DeRozan is the first Spurs player to record a triple-double at home since 2003.

Here’s How to Get More Rest in 2019.

Did you know that your chronotype—”the internal circadian rhythm or body clock of an individual that influences the cycle of sleep and activity in a 24-hour period,” as defined by Merriam Webster (or basically your preference for day or night)—determines the quality of sleep you get? In his latest book, The Power of When, “sleep doctor” Michael Breus shares his findings from his eye-opening (no pun) insomnia research.

“What I realized is that my patients didn’t have insomnia,” he told Business Insider. “It turns out they were night owls. At least some of them, anyway.”

So what does this mean for you? According to the four different chronotypes described in the book, you may be able to better your sleeping patterns by changing your habits a bit. Read on to learn more.
