The latest installment of ESPN’s legendary “30-For-30” docuseries, titled  24 Strong, highlights a touching subject that is sure to create awareness and cause discussion. The project focuses on Zaevion Dobson, a 15-year-old high school football player from Knoxville, Tennessee, who was highly praised by his family, friends, and coaches for his talents on and off the field. Dobson was at a house party in December 2015 when three men fired guns into the crowd of teenagers. He sacrificed his own life to shield his friends from the bullets.

His honorable act caused much praise the world over, and he posthumously received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the ESPYs in July and a public acknowledgement from former President Barack Obama for his heroism.

The documentary will air on Thursday, September 28 at 7:30pm ET on ESPN2. Watch the trailer for the film above.
