Jelani Maraj, Nicki Minaj’s brother, was found guilty in his child rape trial on Thursday, TMZ reports. Maraj faces 25 years to life in prison. “We hope that today’s verdict will help the family in the healing process,” Nassau County D.A. Madeline Singas told TMZ. Minaj reportedly did not testify during the trial despite previous claims she would take the stand.

Though Trump tweeted that he’s ready “to work together to strengthen the bonds of friendship and commerce between all of the nations of the Indo-Pacific, and together, to promote our prosperity and security,” it appears he and Chinese President Xi Jinping have some opposing visions. While Trump “rejects multinational deals in favor of one-on-one pacts,” Xi says he stands for economic globalization, multilateral trade regimes, and tackling climate change. Needless to say, this should be interesting.
