Kyler Murray Declares for NFL Draft
Kyler Murray wants to expand his options this year, especially after winning the Heisman Trophy.
Despite being picked in the first round of this past year’s MLB Draft and despite stating that he’d go the baseball route after his fall football season, the Oklahoma quarterback has had a change of heart. He announced this afternoon that he declared for the NFL Draft.
While Murray had been drafted by the Oakland A’s, he seemed to be moving more towards pro football throughout the fall, especially according to a recent report that said he wanted $15 million to commit to baseball.
Spielberg Casts His ‘West Side Story’ Leads
After auditioning over 30K people around the world, Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story” finally has the Latinx cast that will be taking on the legendary Shark roles.
Fresh face 17-year-old New Jersey High School student Rachel Zegler will make her film debut as Maria opposite Ansel Elgort as Tony. The other Shark roles will be played by Broadway vets Ariana DeBose as Anita and David Alvarez as Bernardo. Theater performer Josh Andres Rivera has been cast as Chino.
“I am so thrilled to be playing the iconic role of Maria alongside this amazing cast,” said Zegler. “West Side Story was the first musical I encountered with a Latina lead character. As a Colombian-American, I am humbled by the opportunity to play a role that means so much to the Hispanic community.”
Indya Moore and Kelela Are the Faces of Louis Vuitton’s Look Book
Louis Vuitton is shaking up their lookbook this season with some stunning women of color, particularly Pose‘s Indya Moore.
“These women embrace the various personalities that embody fashion at Louis Vuitton,” the label’s artistic director of women’s collections, Nicolas Ghesquiere, said in a release about the pre-fall 2019 project. “Be they stars or new faces, all of them share the same willpower, and confidence in their choices, and at the same time, reflect the eclectism of the female identity.”
