Nipsey Hussle‘s birthday is fastly approaching– the California rapper would have celebrated his 34th birthday on August 15.

His birthday will reportedly have LAPD watching closely, and they’ll be anticipating some trouble.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that police will be heavily monitoring the area around Nip’s Marathon clothing store, which is where he was shot and killed on March 31.

On his birthday it will be expected that hundreds, if not thousands of fans will show up to the spot the rapper was slain, his Marathon Clothing store to pay respects. It is widely believed that the people showing up there will just be wanting to celebrate and mourn the life of Nipsey Hussle, the LAPD do not want to take any chances of violence, or even worse breaking out. The LAPD will be deploying approximately 100 officers to the area.

If the store is anything like it was in the days and weeks following his murder, that police presence will be absolutely necessary. Following Nipsey’s memorial service, and funeral precision, the parking lot to the store, and the streets were littered with fans, family, and friends of Nipsey wanting to pay their respects.

Earlier this summer it was reported by various media outlets that the LAPD launched an investigation into Nipsey and his business, The Marathon Clothing Store, associates over alleged gang activity, but those reports were later shot down. The LAPD stressed that he was “never the target” of the investigation, although they did not deny the claims that city officials attempted to get Nip evicted from the area of the Marathon store.

This investigation, along with the frenzy that would likely show up to the store if they reopened for business, has caused the Marathon Clothing Store to keep its’ brick and mortar doors closed for the time being. They have been conducting business solely through e-commerce since the rappers untimely death.
