Logic’s powerful new visuals for his song “1-800-273-8255” touch on a sensitive subject. The record, which also features Alessia Cara and Khalid, tells the story of a young man’s journey to understand his sexuality and gain the acceptance of his family and friends—and his struggle with thoughts of suicide.

The touching video features Coy Stewart (Are We There Yet?) with famed actor Don Cheadle starring as his father. When the boy develops a close relationship with his teammate on the school track team, Cheadle and the teammate’s father don’t react in a supportive manner.

Despite receiving support from his track coach, played by actor Luis Guzman, the teen is ridiculed by his teammates. He finds a gun and is seen contemplating suicide before discovering and calling the Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The video ends on an inspiring and positive note—kudos to Logic and director Andy Hines for creating this. Watch the clip above.
