Tyler Perry Says Goodbye to Madea

Tyler Perry is sunsetting his most popular characters of all time: Madea.

In an interview with Bevy Smith on her SiriusXM show, he revealed Madea will be getting her final performance soon in Tyler Perry’s A Madea Family Funeral. The film, which will be released on March 1, 2019, is the eighth film in the Madea franchise. He also plans on doing a stage tour after the film with actors and characters from the original films to truly commemorate her.

“This is it,” Perry said. “It’s time for me to kill that old b***h. I’m tired! We’re gonna say goodbye in ’19. I just don’t want to be her age playing her.”

Welp. There it is.

Beyoncé Pays Tribute to Toni Braxton

Y‘all know Bey never disappoints—which is why when she debuted her Halloween costume a day early, we were not mad at all.

On Instagram, Beyoncé paid tribute to singer Toni Braxton’s single cover, “Another Sad Love Song.” In the caption, she penned: “Sending love and adoration to one of our talented legends. Thank you for the countless bops. Your tone, your beauty, your range, and your God-given talent is treasured. Loving you always. Have a Happy Halloween my Kings and Queens.”

It’s as if after all the craziness of the world this week, she knew we needed this. Long live the queen.
