O’Shea Jackson Shared What John Singleton Meant to His Family.
As friends, family and fans alike continue to mourn the loss of John Singleton, video has been released of O’Shea Jackson—Ice Cube’s son—sharing how much the legendary director meant to his family.
During a visit to the Quincy Harris Morning Show on Monday, Quincy asked O’Shea how he and his family were dealing with the news of Singleton’s coma.
“John has done so much for my family,” O’Shea stated, sharing that Singleton wrote his letter of recommendation to get into USC. “I can see how he’s affecting my parents. That’s one of our greats, as far as in cinema, Black directors, John Singleton is the cream of the crop, and he’s just in my prayers.”
The video was shared before reports of Singleton’s passing, so it appears Singleton was still with us at the time.

Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone Reboot Just Got a Second Season.
CBS All Access’ EVP of Original Content Julie McNamara made the announcement in a statement to Deadline on Monday.
“Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg’s reimagining of The Twilight Zone is off to an amazing start on CBS All Access, driving the most viewers on its premiere day for an original series to date,” McNamara said. “Jordan, Simon, the creative team, and cast have done a phenomenal job translating the series’ legacy of socially conscious storytelling for modern day audiences. They are master storytellers, and we look forward to bringing fans further into The Twilight Zone with a second season.”

Woodstock 50 Has Been Canceled—We Think.
No, not by the Twitter police—we mean it’s actually be canceled, as in it may be no longer happening.
TMZ reported Monday that the main investors behind the festival, Dentsu Aegis Network, didn’t foresee things happening after all.
“[We don’t] believe the production of the festival can be executed as an event worthy of the Woodstock Brand name while also ensuring the health and safety of the artists, partners and attendees,” they stated. But in an update on Monday evening, promoter Michael Lang’s team issued a statement to TMZ saying that they were doing all they could to still bring things to fruition.
“We are committed to ensuring that the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock is marked with a festival deserving of its iconic name and place in American history and culture,” they stated. “Although our financial partner is withdrawing, we will of course be continuing with the planning of the festival and intend to bring on new partners.”
They continued, “We would like to acknowledge the State of New York and Schuyler County for all of their hard work and support. The bottom line is, there is going to be a Woodstock 50th Anniversary Festival, as there must be, and it’s going to be a blast.”
