Peter Mayhew, Who Played Chewbacca in Star Wars, Has Died.

Mayhew passed away on the evening of April 30, according to his family. In a post shared on social media, his family states that he died surrounded by loved ones in his North Texas Home. He was 74.

“He put his heart and soul into the role of Chewbacca, and it showed in every frame of the films, from his knock-kneed running, firing his bowcaster from the hip, his bright blue eyes, down to each subtle movement of his head and mouth,” they wrote. “But to him, the Star Wars family meant so much more than a role in a film.”

Fellow Star Wars star Mark Hamill also shared a message, stating:

“He was the gentlest of giants-A big man with an even bigger heart who never failed to make me smile & a loyal friend who I loved dearly-I’m grateful for the memories we shared & I’m a better man for just having known him. Thanks Pete.”

Rest in peace, Peter Mayhew.

A Felony Arrest Warrant Has Been Issued for Offset.

Law enforcement is looking to place Offset in cuffs after the rapper smacked a cell phone out of a fan’s hand at a Target in Sandy Springs, Georgia. According to TMZ, Offset was just finishing checking out when the fan approached him with his phone and started filming him before asking, “What up, Offset?”

“The video [the fan] shot shows Offset smack the phone out of his hand, and he says the instrument crashed to the ground and broke, shattering the screen,” TMZ explains. “Offset also allegedly told him to ‘get that f***in’ phone out of my face’ afterward … then exited the store.”

A police report was filed by the fan, named Junior Gibbons, last Friday. Because the phone cost $800, the incident meets the felony threshold, law enforcement explained.
