University of Alabama freshman Harley Barber was de-lettered from her sorority and placed under investigation at her school after she posted two videos where she repeatedly says the n-word.
In the first video, posted to Instagram, she talks about how she doesn’t waste water because of the poor people in Syria and then says that she “loves to act like [she] loves Black people because [she] fucking hate[s] n*ggers.”
“But I just saved a fucking n*gger by shutting the water off,” she said.
In the next video, she goes into another racist rant, talking about how much she loves her sorority, Alpha Phi, but also … how racist she is.
“N*gger, n*gger, n*gger, I don’t care if it’s Martin Luther King day,” she ranted. “N*gger, n*gger, n*gger. I’m in the South now, b*tch, so everybody can f*ck off.”

Linda Kahangi, the executive director of Alpha Phi, addressed Barber’s comments in a statement on Tuesday. She also noted that Barber is no longer a member of Alpha Phi. From AL.com:
“Alpha Phi is a diverse, values-based organization and condemns the language and opinions in these videos. They are offensive and hateful to both our own members and to other members of the Greek and campus community. The Beta Mu chapter leadership and supporting alumnae moved quickly to address the offense, and Ms. Barber is no longer a member of Alpha Phi.”
The University of Alabama spokesman Chris Bryant also released a statement to AL.com on Tuesday: “These remarks are ignorant and disturbing and in no way reflect the values of The University of Alabama. This unfortunate behavior has been reported to the Office of Student Conduct as it does not align with the community expectations of students at the Capstone.”
