Broadcast company Entercom has organized a suicide prevention campaign called “I’m Listening” and many of your favorite musicians have joined the initiative.

In an effort to dispel the stigma attached to discussions surrounding mental health, Metallica, Logic, former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, Khalid, and far more artists than you can count have come together for a two-hour radio special set to air live from Seattle on World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10. Rolling Stone reports that DJ BJ Shea of KISW FM will host the show and all those participating will tell personal stories about their own struggles with mental health, as well as offer help and resources to listeners. “The program will also feature discussions on how to talk with friends and family about mental health, what to do if someone you know is struggling with depression and how to get involved with suicide prevention efforts,” the site adds.

“Depression, coupled with other factors, can be lethal,” Krist Novoselic said in a statement concerning the campaign. “Mental health conditions are underrated and I’m pleased to be part of the ‘I’m Listening’ campaign to help educate the community.”

Suicide prevention is a very important subject that absolutely needs worldwide attention. We can all start by tuning into “I’m Listening” on all Entercom platforms at 10 a.m. ET. this Sunday.
