Not only is Zach LaVine getting a fresh start as a Chicago Bull this season, but he just signed a new sneaker deal, too.

According to ESPN, the 22-year-old baller has reportedly signed an adidas deal worth as much as $35 million. The former Minnesota Timberwolf has yet to play this season as he recovers from a torn left ACL that he suffered in February, but after being dealt to the Windy City he looks to be the future of the franchise.

And adidas feels the same way about his growth.

“I was looking for a partner that would grow with me as my career continues to unfold. Adidas convinced me that I have a chance to legitimately become a face of the brand,” LaVine told ESPN.

The Washington native rose to prominence during his rookie year when he dominated the 2015 Slam Dunk Contest and won again the following year. He became the youngest to win the competition since an 18-year-old Kobe Bryant  took home the trophy in ’97 thanks to stunts like this:

adidas has slowly been quietly building up the roster lately with signees like James Harden, Damian Lillard and Derrick Rose honoring the three stripes. And with Kanye West’s influence the German-born brand isn’t doing too badly on the pop culture side either.
