Terrence Howard also wasn’t at Jussie Smollett’s court appearance. As you may have seen on social media on Thursday, Smollett plead not guilty to a 16-count felony indictment for falsifying a police report. Lovebscott.com says sources claim Empire co-star Terrence Howard was scheduled to appear in court to show his support with Smollett’s family, but “was unable to make it” at the last minute.
Empire returned to television on Wednesday night, with a 35% dip in ratings.

CNN reports that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has made a promise to work with New Zealand “to take action against violent extremism.”
“To the people of New Zealand and to Muslim communities around the world: You are in our hearts and minds,” he said in a statement. “We join in your grief and stand with you at this incredibly difficult time.”
He added, “We must all confront Islamophobia and work to create a world in which all people—no matter their faith, where they live, or where they were born—can feel safe and secure.”

“The actress was at the Reagan National Airport in D.C. Thursday when our guy quizzed her on what’s been widely rumored,” TMZ said. And the rumors are true: she’s who Booker was talking about last month when he stopped by the Breakfast Club when he stated “I got a boo.”
“I am just grateful to be with someone that I respect and love and admire so much,” Dawson told TMZ.
