By now, it’s no secret that Diddy‘s been accused of sexually abusing men and women who he promised he’d help guide through the music industry. Now, new allegations describe how even some of his closest collaborators suffered.
Dawn Richard, a former member of Danity Kane and Dirty Money –which also included Kalenna Harper– recently spoke out through her lawyer, Lisa Bloom, about the abuse she endured.
During an appearance on BBC’s Newsnight, Bloom gave more incite into Richard’s experience, recounting that she was “absolutely terrified” because “he groped and grabbed her body parts, sexually assaulted her, that he not only failed to pay her money that was promised to her, but actually prevented her from eating and sleeping during those years – just treated her terribly.”
Bloom also said during the appearance that she’s got another client who’ll soon be coming forward who’s got pertinent knowledge on Diddy’s sex parties infamously known as ‘freak-offs.’
The interview comes after she filed a lawsuit in September, citing working conditions, sexual assault, and Diddy withholding earnings. The suit also claims that Richard witnessed some of the abuse Cassie Ventura endured, including seeing her getting choked and strangled in public and even in front of record label staff who still agreed to work with him. Diddy would also verbally abuse and threaten when she’d advise Venture to leave the relationship with statements like “you want to die today” and “I end people.”
Former bandmate Harper has taken the opposite side, with her statement reading, in part, that what’s mentioned in Richard’s suit is “not representative of my experiences.”
Diddy’s also being accused of breaking prison rules and paying Harper off, to which Bloom says she “came out publicly and essentially called my client a liar” and suggested that it could be considered witness tampering.
Combs’ legal team has denied Richard’s account because it’s an “attempt to rewrite history,” and Diddy was “shocked and disappointed” when he learned of the lawsuit.
