Jay-Z is set to drop another visual from his 13th solo studio album, 4:44

Courtesy of TIDAL, fans received a 36-second trailer for the rapper’s album intro track “Kill Jay-Z” on Monday afternoon. The quick clip is ambiguous, only depicting what appears to be a deceased Jay-Z as the camera pans out, causing his body to look smaller and smaller.

With what little fans were given, it can be assumed Jay is staying true to the themes he raps about on this song, namely: kill your ego; the world is bigger than you.

When the album first dropped, he told iHeartRadio’s The Beat: “The first song is called ‘Kill JAY-Z’ and obviously, it’s not to be taken literal. It’s really about the ego. It’s about killing off the ego, so we can have this conversation in a place of vulnerability and honesty.”

See the trailer above and hit up TIDAL for the full visual this Friday, July 21.
