If you haven’t seen it yet, Perry’s got a new haircut, which many—including Perry herself—have likened to that of Guy Fieri. Some aren’t really feeling it. “Oh, someone says, ‘I miss your old black hair,” she says during the video. “Oh, really? Do you miss Barack Obama as well? Oh, OK. Times change, bye.”
Can’t imagine how she thought a comparison of her black hair to the nation’s first Black president was going to go over well, but remember: she’s “woke,” tho.

Police officers have reportedly shot and killed a gunman who opened fire at a San Diego apartment complex on Sunday, leaving one dead and six injured. The gunman, a 49-year-old white man, began shooting in the gated pool area of La Jolla Crossroads—an upscale apartment complex nearby the University of California San Diego campus—around 6 p.m. A Black woman was killed, while the other victims, all Black and Hispanic, are being treated at a nearby hospital. San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer addressed the incident on Twitter early Monday morning saying, “This was a truly horrific and disturbing act. We pray for the victims and thank our 1st responders. Our city rejects this senseless violence.” It is still unknown whether or not the incident was a hate crime.

Following what had to have been one of the biggest disasters in festival history, 50 Cent took to Instagram to taunt his longtime rival once again, this time with a meme of Donald Trump making an order to “appoint Ja Rule as Secretary of Festivals.” “Can’t do nothing right,” he said in the caption with cry-laugh emojis. The jab comes following the epic #FyreFestival fail that kept social media laughing over the weekend. The festival, which was being hosted by Ja and promised attendees a weekend of music and partying with Instagram socialites on a remote Bahamas island, has since been “fully postponed” as organizers work to issue refunds.
