As many of us are soaking up the last few rays of the summer sun, our faves are hard at work in the studio.

This week’s #NewFindsFriday is diverse in musical genres from rap to alternative to R&B, so you’ll have a sample of everything to take you into the weekend. Let’s get into it.

A$AP Ferg – Still Striving EP

A$AP Mob’s A$AP Ferg finally drops Still Striving, which was first announced in 2016 as a follow-up to his last studio album Always Strive and Proper. The project is full of some big features and collaborations:  Meek Mill, Migos, Cam’ron, Dave East and more join Fergenstein on the record. The Mob isn’t done this month: they are embarking on the Too Cozy tour, which is hitting cities across the country, and releasing a group project titled Cozy Tapes 2: Too Cozy on August 25.

Luke James, “Drip”

From appearing in the stand-out New Edition biopic to his cameo appearance in this season of InsecureLuke James is having a heck of a year. Always one to get back to the music, the singer/songwriter recently released a new single titled “Drip.” The track features James’ vocals and instrumentation that channels his soulful roots, which is sure to satisfy fans both new and old. The single also stands as the first release from his sophomore album titled JOY, which we hope will be available sometime in the fall.

Gorillaz feat. Peven Everett,  “Strobelite”(Kaytranada Remix)

Canadian producer Kaytranada needs little to no introduction, and while he’s spent his summer hitting several dates on the festival circuit, he’s decided to release a remix of Gorillaz’ “Strobelite.”  The song originally appeared on the Gorillaz’s latest album Humanz, which came out last April. As good as this remix is, one can only wonder if more collaborations are on the way.

Dave East, Paranoia: A True Story EP

Considered an “appetizer” for his upcoming debut album, Harlem spitter Dave East announced the release of his Paranoia: A True Story EP. The 13-song project should be more than enough to keep his fans patient while he continues to work on his album. East stated in an interview with Billboard, he wanted to tell even more stories in his music, but didn’t think this was the right time. With features by Nas, Wiz Khalifa, French Montana, Jeezy and more, it’s only a matter of time before East’s full journey comes to fruition.

Cardi B Feat. Messiah, “Bodak Yellow” Latin Trap Mix

It’s safe to say that Cardi B has the song of the summer with her smash hit “Bodak Yellow.” The song landed the Bronx-born rapstress on the Billboard charts, becoming the highest charting song with zero features by a female rapper since Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda” back in 2014. Paying homage to her roots, Cardi partnered with prominent Dominican rapper Messiah with a “Latin Trap Mix” to her knockout single. It’s everything you hoped it would be!

Tiffany Gouché,  “Dive/Down”

Far from a stranger to the music game, Tiffany Gouché has worked with some of the biggest names in music, such as Anderson.Paak, Solange, Jill Scott, Terrace Martin, and more. The Inglewood, Calif. native received much praise back in 2015 with her Pillow Talk EP, but she’s back with her new singles, “Down” and “Dive.” “Down” has more of a fun vibe and “Dive” goes for a more sultry approach. Gouché is prepping for her forthcoming debut album, and if it sounds anything like her first two releases, we’re in for something special.
