Lil Wayne fans have been waiting for Tha Carter V for what seems like a millennium. Weezy’s recording engineer ONHEL gave hints about the album, saying Wayne has been in the studio as much as he’s always been, but there’s still no release date for new music. However, that might be changing soon!

Weezy told  Q93’s Wild Wayne that the album is ready. When will it drop? Whenever he wants…but not right now. “Of course you’re going to see Tha Carter V,” he said. “Man, I just don’t want to put it out the wrong way. Honestly, man, I can do what I want honestly at any time. The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be. I’ma make sure it’s right. I can drop whatever I want to drop. I keep dropping whatever I want to drop. But I’m not gonna give ’em Carter V the wrong way.” He added, “Carter V is ready to be listened to. It’s just gotta be listened to the right way and like I said, I ain’t gonna give it to ’em wrong.”

He didn’t offer any further clues about what he means by “wrong,” but he can rest assured that his die hards will take it any way they can get it.

As for this truly being Tunechi’s “final” album? We’re hoping he’s pulling a Jay-Z with that statement.
