With the announcement of All Def Comedy coming to HBO this fall, Netflix has announced a special anniversary special to pay homage to some of the legendary comedians who have crossed the Def Comedy Jam stage over the years.
Def Comedy Jam 25 marks the 25th anniversary of the pioneering comedy series, which gave several major Black comedians and comediennes their first major look, who would then go on to have incredibly prestigious careers. The special airs on September 26.
Those taking part in the special include Bill Bellamy, Martin Lawrence, Cedric the Entertainer, Dave Chappelle, Katt Williams, Mike Epps, Adele Givens, Tiffany Haddish, Kevin Hart, Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley, Kid Capri, Tracy Morgan, Craig Robinson, Sommore, Joe Torry, Sheryl Underwood, Eddie Griffin and Katt Williams.
