Donald Glover has a lot to celebrate.

After becoming the first Black person to win an Emmy for directing a comedy, the rapper/actor/director revealed that he’s expecting his second kid.

“I want to thank my baby, my son, for just being the joy in my life. I want to thank my unborn son—we’re listening to Stevie [Wonder] tonight,” he said on stage.

Knowing Glover, that might be the only detail we ever get about his second child, as the Atlanta director is notoriously private about his life outside work. It wasn’t until his genre-bending album Awaken, My Love! was released in 2016 that the public learned he had a son, whom he wrote about in the track titled “Baby Boy.” At this year’s Governors Ball Music Festival he revealed that his son’s name is Legend.

It’s shaping up to be a pretty busy 2018 for Glover, with the addition of his second child, the second season of Atlanta, and a collaborative project with Chance The Rapper.

Flourish.
