With November upon us, here’s the 411 on The Movember Foundation— the organization on a mission to save men from dying by bringing awareness to the health issues that face them.

Setting the aggressive, yet obtainable goal of reducing the number of men dying prematurely by 25% by 2030, the charity is holding men accountable for making wellness a priority. Tackling some of the biggest health issues that plague men including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental heath and suicide prevention, the organization encourages men to grow their mustaches throughout the month of November to help promote the movement and raise life-saving funds.

You might ask, “How does growing out my mustache help raise money for charity?” Well it’s actually very simple.  After creating a profile on the brand’s website, you can upload pictures chronicling your hair growth journey and requesting donations in support of the movement. You can also connect with others to create fundraising teams that donate proceeds to the Movember charity.

Remarkably since being founded 13 years ago, the organization has funded over 1,200 global men’s heath projects. Take action by creating your online profile and pledging to give back. Donations made via Visa credit cards will be matched up to $25.
