In July of this year, footage surfaced of A$AP Bari, creative head of the fashion brand VLONE and member of the A$AP Mob, in a hotel room trying to forcefully coerce an unidentified woman into performing oral sex. The clip, which appeared on Instagram before being deleted, went viral on Reddit and other social media, causing intense backlash for the Harlem native.

Fresh off a collaborative partnership with Nike, Bari lost his deal with the brand and all future collabs were reportedly cancelled. Bari made a statement on the incident via Twitter, claiming the clip was “misleading” and “released without his consent,” and that “the incident was resolved amicably among all parties as adults.” But things may have changed.

TMZ obtained reports that an anonymous woman is suing A$AP Bari for more than $1 million for an incident that took place on July 9 in a London hotel. The woman, called Jane Doe in the lawsuit, says she was asleep in the hotel room when Bari stormed in shouting, “You f*cked my assistant, now you are going to f*ck me,” which was caught on video.

Doe says that when she declined his advances, Bari pulled the sheets off her naked body. She maintains that Bari and someone else in the room recorded the incident on their cellphones, chasing her into the bathroom while Bari screamed threats, telling her to “shut the f*ck up, bitch.” Per the report, Doe thought Bari and his associates were going to rape her, and she was only released when Bari threw her out of the hotel room, naked. She reported the incident to hotel security, and she says authorities made Bari and his associates delete the footage of her from their cell phones.

The woman alleges the incident happened because she rejected Bari’s advances at a nightclub the night before, and that she was pressured by Bari’s legal representation to participate in a joint statement, which she declined.

CASSIUS will continue to follow this story as details emerge.
