The plot has thickened in the Internet’s background investigation of Keaton Jones, as the public delves deeper into his family history.

On Wednesday morning, TMZ posted photos from social media pages belonging to Keaton Jones’ estranged father, Shawn White. Some of the things he’s posted include various white pride memes with sayings such as, “Holy f*** I love being white,” “Keep calm and be white pride,” and “Aryan pride.”

White also posted a selfie that shows him shirtless with “Pure Breed” tattooed on his chest, “White Pride” on his stomach, and a neck tattoo that reads “CWB” an abbreviation for a gang called “Crazy White Boy.”

According to documents obtained by TMZ, he’s been in Knox County Jail since May 2015, locked up on a probation violation related to a 2012 aggravated assault conviction. He is scheduled to be released in 2018.

There reportedly aren’t any available records to show if White and Keaton’s mother Kimberly Jones were ever married. It’s also unclear what type of relationship Keaton has with White, as the last photo posted was in January 2015.

This discovery puts fire behind the most recent controversy concerning Jones’ social media photos of her and her children holding the Confederate flags. While Jones adamantly defended herself, saying the photos were intended to be “ironic and funny,” there’s nothing ironic or funny about White’s beliefs. The latest photos also add fire to the rumors that Keaton was bullied because he called his classmate a racist slur.

If the internet learns anything from this entire saga, it should be the following: Do a good background check before you donate your hard earned money to a “cause” related to a kid you only know from a viral video. Not only could he be the child of two white supremacists, but he may have damn well deserved to be “bullied.”
