Timeless American fashion giant J.Crew has announced the launch of a year-long partnership with Blue Jeans Go Green. For every pair of gently-worn jeans brought into any J.Crew Store, shoppers will receive $20 off new styles. The old denim will be used to create housing insulation.
The program is a great way to connect with and educate consumers about sustainability.
Since its inception in 2006, the Blue Jeans Go Green initiative— founded by Cotton Incorporated— estimates it’s received more than two million pieces of denim.
“We were thrilled to hear that denim was J.Crew’s focus for Spring 2018. The Blue Jeans Go Green™ program is a great way to connect with and educate consumers about sustainability and diverting textile waste from landfills,” adds Andrea Samber, Director of Consumer Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Cotton Incorporated.
