British supermarket chain Tesco incorrectly named a Marvel Black Panther costume, and folks are BIG mad. Called “Marvel Avengers Dark Panther Fancy Dress Costume” on its website (for real, though—wth?), the offending costume caused so much backlash that Tesco was prompted to issue an official apology. “This was a mistake and we are extremely sorry for any offense caused,” it told BBC Newsbeat. The White Woman Who Lied About Being Raped by Three Black Men Won’t Be Punished. Shocker!
Breana Rachelle Harmon, the 19-year-old white woman who lied about being kidnapped and raped by three Black men last March, reportedly pleaded guilty Thursday to four felony charges of tampering with physical evidence and government documents. While this could mean that she would face 30 years behind bars (not to mention a whole lotta fines), her plea deal means she will either go on probation or be awarded deferred adjudication—aka No Time in Jail. She’s “very remorseful,” guys.
