Rae Sremmurd – SR3MM

Instead of simply dropping a third Rae Sremmurd LP, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi deliver a triple album. That’s right. The new set includes a group project and a solo offering from each member.

The Tupelo duo’s joint effort features some familiar voices, including The Weeknd, Travis Scott, Future, and Juicy J. Swae adds Young Thug to Swaecation, while Jxmmi includes Pharrell Williams, Zoë Kravitz, Trouble, and Riff 3X on Jxmtro.

While it’s drawn comparisons to OutKast’s Speakerboxxx/The Love Below strategy, Swae Lee told Billboard this is something new. “We going three-sided,” he said. “[OutKast] didn’t come together. We got to come together — we’re brothers.” Meanwhile, Jxm explained their connection and camaraderie. “It’s no competition,” he explained. “We’re brothers. At the end of the day, we’re getting a bag.”

Listen to Swae Lee, Slim Jxmmi, and the Rae Sremmurd fusion below.

Royce Da 5’9” — Book of Ryan

After peeling back his Layers in 2016, Royce Da 5’9” writes a new chapter in the Book of Ryan.

The 21-song effort (including the bonus track) features some of the biggest names in the game, including Eminem, J. Cole, Pusha T, Jadakiss, Fabolous, T-Pain, and Logic. But Royce handles the bulk of the rhyming from a personal perspective.

“It’s my most autobiographical project to date,” he recently told “The Breakfast Club.” “This explains exactly who I am. I stopped drinking six years ago. I started reflecting, getting memories and started going to therapy. Walking out of therapy, I started feeling like, ‘I feel good getting this stuff off my chest. Why don’t I do it creatively?’”

Travis Scott feat. Kanye West & Lil Uzi Vert – ‘Watch’

Travis Scott taps Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert for “Watch,” the lead single from his forthcoming AstroWorld LP.

Produced by Pi’Erre Bourne, the new track kicks off with Uzi rapping about his strength. “They thought we were soft, boy, you learned the hard way,” he raps on the track. “Not with all the talkin’, turned it to a closed case.”

La Flame comes through with the second verse. “They really want my soul / That can never go / Angel in the snow / Always leave me cold.”

Finally, Kanye references his opioid addiction and talks that he’s in the “sunken place” following a recent string of controversial remarks.

“Wanna know how pain feels?” he asks. “I got off my main pills / Bet my wifey stay close / She know I’m on my Bezos / Opioid addiction, pharmacy’s the real trap / Sometimes I feel trapped / Jordan with no Phil Jack / One year it’s Illuminati, next year it’s the Sunken Place.”

Desiigner – L.O.D.

Following the viral craze around “Panda,” Desiigner was supposed to release his debut album, Life of Desiigner. That project, of course, never made it out, but today, Desiigner unleashes the L.O.D. EP to make up for lost time.

The seven-track project kicks off with Desiigner’s now infamous ad-libs on “Priice Tag.” From there, the G.O.O.D. Music MC delivers a string of cuts, including “Tonka,” “After Party,” “Destination,” and “HOOD.”
